For my photoshoot with Japan Experience, I was tasked with capturing the essence of the company's Gion Rokudo guesthouse in Kyoto.
Gion Rokudo's house.
To achieve this, I made sure to take a variety of shots in each room, including wide-angle shots to capture the overall layout and atmosphere, as well as close-up shots to highlight specific details such as traditional Japanese decor and textiles.
The Gion Rokudo guesthouse is situated in a peaceful and calm neighborhood, near a shrine. The Gion district is famous for its traditional machiya houses, which are a perfect representation of the traditional Japanese architecture.
The guesthouse atmosphere was relaxing and serene, and I made sure to capture this feeling in my shots.
In order to enhance the angles of each room, I made sure to pay attention to lighting. I used natural light whenever possible, it was a great way to showcase the traditional elements of the guesthouse and the neighborhood. I also paid attention to the details in each room and used a variety of camera angles to create a well-rounded representation of the guesthouse.
If you're looking for a unique and authentic travel experience in Japan, a stay at the Gion Rokudo guesthouse is a must. Book your trip with Japan Experience and immerse yourself in the traditional culture and atmosphere of Kyoto's famous Gion district.
